In our fourth case study on The Gee Edit Blog, our highly credible Medi-Beauty team collaboratively treats an open scar. Leda Cerkozi, Senior Medical Aesthetician presents the incredible results after customized treatments for Skinboss, Jessica Tores. Leda uses advanced technologies like IPL + laser resurfacing on the target area, for improvement. A custom skincare regimen to effectively heal the scar and repair the skin was created for for at-home use, featuring pharmaceutical-grade, high performance skincare. 

 Client Concern: Scarring

Product Prescription: Silicone gel was used to close the wound, no stitches needed.

Name Of Treatments: Combination of IPL + laser resurfacing. IPL is used to effectively reduce redness, while laser resurfacing stimulates collagen production. In addition, a microneedling treatment is preformed to help smooth out the appearance of the skin, helping to fill in fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. Each treatment was customized and collaboratively planned amongst the medi-beauty team to target the specific skin concern, achieving immediate results. 

Number Of Treatments: 3-6 for optimal results. "We started by doing a combination therapy of IPL and laser resurfacing with a total of 3 treatments." - Leda Cerkozi. We also preformed 1 microneedling treatment.

Pain: Manageable

Downtime: 5 days of redness and tenderness. Skin will turnover and peel by day 3.

Notes: Following IPL treatments, it is important to continue protecting your skin from the sun. We recommend a vitamin C formulation like Dr. Sebagh Pure Vitamin C Powder Cream and SPF during the daytime to continue to protect the skin.

Healing:  During the course of Jessica's treatments, Leda provides high-performance skincare to support Jessica's scar-healing process. The objective of these products are for at home use, aiming to visibly reduce and eliminate the scar and help speed up the skins natural regeneration process.
