There’s a lot inspiring Steph Gee this fall
from Copenhagen street style and our first mornings at The James to a fresh perspective on what makes Steph feel most like herself. Seeing our new Toronto studio come to life has brought fresh energy to work she's always felt deeply committed to: supporting our team, building relationships, and making every client feel cared for. That excitement is carrying into her everyday life, from how she's getting dressed to the rituals she's making time for. Here are Steph's fall five.
1. Welcoming you to The James
There’s the moment you see a space come together, and then there’s the moment you see people in it. Watching our team settle in, welcoming familiar faces, showing clients around—it’s making our new studio feel like home. So many of you have been with us for years, through different chapters of your lives and ours. Getting to share this next one with you means so much. I’m making a point of being present for the conversations, the first reactions, and all the little moments we’ve worked so hard to create.
2. Connecting more to myself
I’ve been working with intuitive eating coach Kiki Athanas on my relationship with food, and it’s become a meaningful part of how I’m caring for myself. I’m learning to listen more closely, recognize what I need, and bring more mindfulness to eating. It’s a personal process, and one I’m giving time and attention to. What I’m enjoying most is the feeling of connecting more to being me—trusting myself and getting to know myself a little better along the way.
Keeping consistent to my routine, movement, & mindfulness - helps me stay locked in and focused, while still allowing time for fun and play.

3. A uniform, with a few new ideas
My trip to Copenhagen this summer is still influencing how I’m getting dressed. I loved seeing how women put things together: great proportions, practical pieces, and personal details that made even a simple outfit feel considered. I love having a uniform I can rely on for full days in the studio, then changing the mood with accessories. Right now, I have my eye on emerald earrings for the holidays. A familiar outfit, a beautiful earring, and suddenly I’m ready for dinner.
4. My ten-minute beauty routine
I like to sit down, know what I’m reaching for, and be ready in ten minutes. Our Foundation Stick in shade 11 works so beautifully with my skin’s texture, followed by Warm Glow Bronzer and Pinkybeam Stick Blush. My current lip combination is Twist + Define Lip Liner in Honey Bun with Cece Lipstick, and the new Precision Brown Mascara has quickly become an everyday essential. There’s also a new eyeliner coming soon that I’m very excited about. I finish with Multi-Mist Setting Spray to help everything stay in place through a full studio day. Underneath it all, I’ve been using my SkinCeuticals LHA toner and serum, alongside Gee Skin ahead of its launch. Getting to use what we’ve been developing—and getting ready to share it with you—is a particularly good part of my mornings.

5. Booking myself into the treatment room
I spend so much of my day on my feet, and a lymphatic drainage massage at Gee Beauty has become an appointment I really look forward to. It’s time to put my phone away, lie down, and give my body some attention. There’s something especially lovely about stepping out of the studio’s daily activity and into the quiet of a treatment room. I’m usually focused on everyone else’s experience, so getting into that bed myself feels like a little luxury—and a very good use of an hour. Image above: Before on the left, After on the right.
