Meet Ginger Gee & Vinny Gee — Stephanie and Miriam's lovable rescue dogs, bringing so much happiness (and cuteness) to Gee Beauty.
From morning walks to office naps (with the occasional Crown Affair everything shower in between), Ginger’s routine is quietly impressive. These days, she’s also settling into life with her cousin Vinny — a role she takes very seriously. Today, Stephanie Gee takes us through a day in the life of Ginger.
7:30 AM — Morning Walk
Our day starts the way all good days should: outside, leashes on, noses to the ground. Steph takes me for a few familiar laps around the neighbourhood, while Miriam does the same with Vinny, who is still learning the route. We usually meet back up for a quick stop at the dog park, where I say hi to my regulars and Vinny enthusiastically introduces himself to everyone.
While we’re busy doing important dog things, my mom is multitasking—podcast in, Gee Beauty Smoothing Lip Balm on, followed by a reapplication of Dr Sebagh High Maintenance Hand Cream. She does this like clockwork. I respect a routine.
8:30 AM — Morning at Home → Commute Time
After the walk, it’s breakfast and a little window watching before we head out again. Steph takes me to the office, while Vinny heads off with Miriam on his own schedule. I know my routine well now and can tell when we’re getting close to the office, which always means more people, more excitement, and very little chance of going unnoticed.
I also know that when I walk in, someone will immediately say, “Ginger!!!” Vinny is still building up to that part.
10:00 AM — Morning Nap and Playtime
Late morning usually includes a nap, with the occasional break to play with my cousin Vinny, who is still new here and very enthusiastic about absolutely everything, including the inventory boxes. I understand the appeal—I also love a new product delivery. Once that energy is addressed, it’s back to resting.
12:15 PM — Ramsden Park Walk
Midday means another walk, this time around Ramsden Park, which always feels like a reset before the second half of the day. We usually pass by a few of my favourite spots, sometimes stopping to say hello to the Gee Beauty Studio girls and a look through the window at Six by Gee to see what’s new before heading back.
Vinny does his walk separately. He was born in Miami and is still getting used to Toronto’s colder weather, so his outings are a bit shorter and much more deliberate.
12:30 PM — Leadership Meeting (as a VI(Gee))
I sit in on leadership meetings as a Very Important Gee, offering quiet support by being present and staying out of the way. I take the role seriously, even if it mostly involves listening and maintaining a calm energy in the room.
Vinny spends this part of the afternoon napping. He needs a lot of puppy sleep.
2:30 PM — Digital Marketing Meeting
I sit in on the digital marketing meeting and listen quietly from my spot on the floor, occasionally opening one eye when the conversation gets particularly animated. At some point everyone seems to reapply their Gee Beauty Creamy Lip Define Pencil almost in unison, which feels less like a coincidence and more like a shared habit.
Vinny continues napping.

5:15 PM — Heading Home
Workday complete. I head home with Steph, excited to see my dad and tell him everything that happened during the day, which mostly involves Vinny, honestly.
Vinny heads home separately with Miriam, where the evening includes puppy training and even more cuddling.
6:30 PM — Evening Wind Down
Evenings are calm and familiar. While my mum makes dinner and moves through her end-of-day routine - NUDA Bronze Foam self tan setting, hair pulled back with the Crown Affair Clips, and sometimes wearing her Dr Dennis Gross LED mask that makes her look a little futuristic—I’m nearby, occasionally getting my own version of an everything shower with Crown Affair, which feels equal parts practical and luxurious.
Vinny’s evening looks a little different. After training and dinner, he usually winds down with Miriam and settles in early.
8:00 PM — Couch Time and an Early Night
The day usually ends on the couch while my mum reads Unreasonable Hospitality. Depending on how full the day has been, I either stay close or take myself to bed early. Beauty sleep matters, especially when you spend your days at Gee Beauty.
Vinny is usually already asleep by then. Puppy schedules are demanding.

At the end of the day, our routines look a little different, but they all revolve around the same things: familiar faces, calm moments, and feeling taken care of. I think the best part about having us is that we remind you to be present, to love and that true joy comes from deep connection.
See you around!
Xx
