When you feel good, you show up at your best.
That’s why our mood-boosting rituals and routines are a non-negotiable. They’re like the secret weapons in our self-care arsenal, the tools that help us feel unstoppable, energized, and ready to take on the world.
Today on the #geeedit, learn all of the ways we instantly get a mood boost to keep off days at bay.
Energize with hot + cold therapy:
Like a cold plunge but in your own bathroom! Experience the benefits of hot and cold therapy by experimenting with the temperature of your shower. We recommend starting with a lukewarm temperature and gradually making it colder. Practice deep belly breathing and try to stick with it for about 1-2 minutes. Then gradually adjust the water back to a comfortable temperature. Cycle through a few times, remembering to breathe deep and drink lots of water after. Hot and cold water therapy is proven to boost the mood, improve mental clarity and focus as well as improved circulation and reduced inflammation.

the best way to boost your mood is to get outside. Whether you're heading out on a walk around the block, going for a run, or just want to sit in the grass and read, anyway that gets you outside is a great idea. Even if it's winter where you are, put on your layers and bundle up - you'll feel so gratified when you get home!
The beauty of going on a walk is that it's so simple and so effective. No matter where you are in your fitness and health journey, going for a walk will always make a positive impact in your day. Don't forget to really spend a few moments basking in natural sunlight (weather permitting!) and feel the sun on your face.
There are so many benefits to walking, but I have to say the mood-boosting effects are beyond incredible.

The best thing about cooking or baking besides the delicious end result? It requires you to be fully present and in the moment which means it's a great way to get out of your head. Of course you can choose to make anything you want but we suggest reaching for ingredients with beauty-boosting benefits like berries which are packed with antioxidants, turmeric for it's anti-inflammatory benefits and for something sweet - nothing satisfies like a few squares of dark chocolate.

There's nothing like the feeling of knowing you have a beauty appointment in your calendar. It may seem small but it's something to look forward to and that's all that matters. A brow + lash lift or tint, a glow-boosting facial or even a detoxifying and ultra-relaxing lymphatic drainage massage are incredible ways to boost your self-care and give you back that spring in your step.
Prefer to indulge in an at-home skincare + wellness? Grab your favorite face mask, eye patches, serums, dry brush, body oil and all of the skin + body tools for a night of true pampering. Do a deep double cleanse and then apply your face mask of choice and practice deep belly breaths while it works it's magic. Listen to a podcast or rewatch your favorite reality show. Once it's removed, layer on your reparative serums followed by a nourishing cream. We love taking a little extra time to apply in every product, giving ourselves a quickie de-puffing massage.

Organize + tidy:
Organizing and tidying up your space is a great self-care practice that will keep you feeling present but also feeling productive. Declutt your bathroom cabinet, kitchen, or sort through clothes for donation. Keep in mind you don't have to tackle it all at once. Set a timer for one hour and you'll be amazed at what you can get done.
Get dressed up:
Forget saving a look for a special occasion. If you've been waiting for the 'perfect' time to wear something, today is the day. Wear what will truly make you happy and make you feel good. While we're on the topic, never feel like you can't re-wear your favorite outfits or pieces either. Who cares if you wore it once already - clothes are meant to be worn and so long as you're wearing them with confidence, you're good to go!
I'm all about inspiring you wear what you love, and wear it again and again.
